Even the most eloquent of us may not be able to express ourselves properly with just 280 text characters.

And you know what people say about a picture being worth a thousand words. Well folks, you can now send photo shoutouts. Yup… just snap a photo, write your shoutout and send to 22700 via MMS (or Picture Message) from your mobile phone.

Alternatively, you can also login to www.pacmee.com and send your photo shoutouts from your computer.

All your followers will receive your photos. To retrieve and view a photo shoutout on your mobile phone, just send the Photo ID to 22700. The Photo ID ranges between P1 to P9999.  For example, send P3 to 22700.

You can also browse your photos on the Photo Gallery at www.pacmee.com

Now, go express yourself with a picture! Happy photo shouting….

Pacmee website going offline
March 24th, 2008 by Ow Choong Seong

Pacmee website will be going up and down in the next couple of hours as we’re updating the site in preparation of a new and exciting feature that we’ll be launching very soon.

Groups, groups, groups !!!
January 24th, 2008 by Ow Choong Seong

Pacmee.com is up again.

Not sure where the new features are? Just login to your account. Upon login, you will know how to get there :) Do drop us your comments/feedback on how we can improve our service.

We have more changes in store. Expect something new from us in the next few weeks.

 Edit: (28-01-2008, 3:24PM)

How to send group shoutouts?

You can send shoutouts to groups in 2 seperate ways:

  1.  <group_number> <message>
    Eg. Send G1 Any plans?
to send the message Any plans? to group number one.
  2. @<group_name> <message>
    Eg. Send @friends Any plans?
to send the message Any plans? to the group that you have labelled as friends.

We understand that you don’t want all your messages to be directed to all your followers all the time. Sometimes you might just want to share a private message with some of your followers. So, we’ve been secretly working on this and we’re finally ready to go public with this.

Pacmee will now support groups. Now you can send messages to a select few instead of to everyone. We are now in the midst of adding this new feature to our site and as a result of this, www.pacmee.com will be offline for a while to facilitate this new addition.

New updates: More control…
November 14th, 2007 by Ow Choong Seong

We have been hard at work adding new features to Pacmee these last couple of weeks. And finally today, we are proud to announce that these new features have finally ‘graduated’ from our internal alpha test.

Direct Messages

We have given more control over direct messages to you, our users. Now, you can select how you want to be contacted via direct messages on the phone as well as how the direct messages to you will be displayed on our website.

To get there:

  1. Select MySettings from the menu at the top.

  2. Select the “Privacy” tab. The new options are there.

Featured Users

Our featured users section have also received some new updates. Featured users are now divided in to 2 categories: Featured persons and featured communities. We have also added some AJAX magic to make the featured users’ profile a little bit more eye catching.

Posting Shoutouts

Our more keen users would have noticed that recently we’ve allowed much longer shoutouts (ie shoutouts over 2 sms) but our site have yet to be updated to follow suit. Well, we have finally gotten to updating that on our website as well and now you can send long shoutouts from the web as well.

Speaking of shoutouts, we have also updated our characters left counter in the post shoutout page to support unicode characters. Now when you are posting in Chinese the characters counter will accurately show how many characters are left.

Look and Feel

We also made minor changes to the look and feel of our site mainly to the login section as well as the menu you see at the top of each page.

That’s all for now. Another set of new features are being worked on this very moment. Be prepared to be amazed in the near future. Meanwhile, feel free to drop your comments here. We at Pacmee would love to hear what you guys have to say.
